We are with my mom and dad for a few days and LOVING every moment! Happy Easter!

So, Happy Eastertime.. just had breakfast with Mom and, she goes, “Let’s color some Easter eggs this morning – do you want to?”

“Yes! Let’s!”

(Rummaging in the fridge) “Did you use all the hardboiled eggs for that salad you were making last night for supper?”

“Yes, I did, sorry.. I should have left a couple..”

“Oh, don’t be sorry!  We’ve got plenty more”, and she brings out of the fridge a whole tray of, like, 18. “How many shall we do?”

“Hmm, maybe….8?”

“Niña de Sus Ojos, do you have a particular METHOD that you use to hardboil eggs?”

“No, not really, I mean, do you, Mom?”

“Yes! I steam them, on a vegetable steamer, in the pot. For 8 minutes. Then leave them sitting in the pot with the lid on, for exactly 10 more minutes.”

“Why, Mom?”

“They’re SO easy to PEEL, afterwards! The shells don’t stick to the egg.”

So awesome, LOVE it! LOVE spending time with MY MOM!

Amos 5:8 in the KJV – Beautiful! And makes me think of the March nor’easters presently walloping the northeast U.S.A.!

“Seek HIM, who made the Pleiades and Orion, that turnest deep darkness into the morning, and darkened the day into night; that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: the LORD is HIS NAME.” Amos 5:8
