My thoughts from some stuff overheard a week and a day ago..
In every other religion except Christianity, salvation comes to a person by the attainment of human wisdom or enlightenment, or by the person’s good works or by something else that the person does or says or thinks. Only with Christianity is it 100 percent God reaching down to us, saving and helping and empowering and deeply changing us, simply by His undeserved favor toward us. It’s not complicated. It’s God giving and us getting. This makes Christianity unique.
What tends to hold us back from believing? Perhaps different things for different individuals? Perhaps pride?
