Comfort when My Heart is Hurting

Today, my heart is not hurting but God has brought into my pathway several friends who have hurting hearts.  They are bearing burdens too heavy for anybody to carry by oneself. Here’s  for them, prayed for them, this afternoon.

2 Corinthians 1: 3-4  “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”

Isaiah 49:13b  “For the Lord comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones.”

Isaiah 66:13a  “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you, and you will be comforted…”
