Strength and Joy are in God
“Splendor and majesty are before Him. Strength and joy are in His dwelling place.” – First Chronicles 16:27
“True joy is a by-product of living in (God’s) presence.” – Sarah Young
I am thinking of the precious, scarce water contained in these colorful Bolivian plastic fuel containers as symbolic of God’s joy, that can come to a person through pursuing their relationship with God and through serving, in the ways God shows them to serve. The water in the containers is going to be used to wash babies and young children whose fathers and mothers bring them for the only weekly, or even less often, bath they can get, because the families have NO access to ANY water, in or near their homes. It’s an expression of God’s love, to fellow needy persons. Often the children have deep, scabby or old infections or rashes or illnesses with fevers.
